TikTok fun on Instagram is now even easier
Following the ban on the TikTok app in India, Instagram has come up with a new release feature, which allows users to create short videos as well as features like TikTok. Now Instagram users are getting the new Reels tab in the app. This way, it will be easier to watch short videos and TikTok-like experiences on Instagram. Previously, users did not easily find the option of reels and were given them inside.
The new tab has been available to iOS users since last week and is now also visible on Android devices. To use Reels on Instagram, users need to go to the bottom of the phone screen, where the Home and Profile options appear. The Explorer tab visible here was accessible by tapping the 'Magnifying Glass' icon. Now this option has been replaced by reels. That is, by tapping on this icon, users will see the main page of the reels.
After the change, the reels will get more engagement and the company wants it too. The number of TikTok users was in the billions, especially in India, and they have been given an alternative by the Reels option on Instagram. The company says that the future of Reels Entertainment and manufacturers separate from the big media companies will be a part of it. This feature is also given in India after Brazil, Germany, and France.
The Instagram Reels feature will allow users to create and share short videos on the platform. These videos will now be automatically shared on Instagram's Explore tab. However, if users want, they can share short videos in their stories and feeds them first. This feature has so far received good responses from users and Instagram Relay is working to add more filters and features.
